The 00042 Cultural Association, in partnership with the Lazio Region, the Province of Rome and the Municipalities of Anzio and Nettuno, announces a national art competition, which will award prizes, on the issue of Eco-Art.

To understand the spirit of this art exhibition we must go back many years, specifically, to January 22, 1944, the day on which the Allied Forces landed at Anzio, i.e. Shingle Operation.

The Shingle22J Biennial of Contemporary Art of Anzio and Nettuno was created to meet the need to develop a new series of “landings”, entailing friendship between people of different nationalities, love of beauty, intercultural debate and freedom of expression.

As regards its third annual exhibition, Shingle22j Biennial of Contemporary Art of Anzio and Nettuno once again renews its commitment to culture and social issues with the opening of the exhibition on the issue of “Eco-Art”.

Shingle22j offers the opportunity to participate in a wide-ranging, high-profile international art debate over the issue of Ecology, since we are aware of the important and urgent need, which has arisen with respect to mankind in the current historical period, to seriously address the man-made problems caused by human actions affecting the biosphere over many years. In our society searching for a balanced relationship between living organisms, animals and plants, and their environment is actually a priority to ensure the development and evidence of life on our planet.
